THE EPIDEMIC OF NON-MELANOMA SKIN CANCERby: Lissing Temarkon Nonmelanoma skin cancers (NMSCs) comprise more than one third of all cancers in the United States and are widely described as a worldwide epidemic.[1] The term "nonmelanoma skin cancer" includes 2 major types: basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
